Dreaming of Santorini...

December already? Tomorrow we dive right into December and as the rain beats down around me I am dreaming of warmer weather, blue waters and clear skies. While I will enjoy every moment of winter filled with skiing, sledding and snow angels I will secretly long for lawn chairs by the pool… Until summer...

Thanksgiving here we come!

Well, it's official, the real pumpkins are smashed, the costumes are put away, the candy still lingers, but it cannot be denied, it's finally time for Thanksgiving preparation! So excited to start dreaming of turkey and stuffing and mmm pecan pie…

Rustic Flower Girl

I love this adorable flower girl in her cowboy boots enjoying the cows! What a beautiful moment that was captured! If I could go back and do my wedding over… well I wouldn't, But! If I could renew my vows I would absolutely have it on a ranch with cows and horses and wide open spaces all around. And a mason jar chandelier, with all my guests sipping sweet tea at dusk...

Happy October and Happy Halloween!!!! Loving pumpkins and this new way to decorate them without all the mess! (Don't worry you can still carve the top out and dig out those pumpkin seeds for some delicious roasted snacks!)

Glam Baby Bibs!

Who doesn't want their baby girl to look stylish while at the same time making clean up easy when feeding time rolls around. These adorable glam bibs are so perfect for the job! And they make a wonderful gift for a mom-to-be at her baby shower. Karla at Petit Chalet has impeccable taste and AMAZING quality! My own baby boy (pics to hopefully come soon) uses her bibs and I can say from experience they have held up extremely well through lots of wear and wash plus there is the added bonus of the compliments I get when we use them out and about!

excited to announce stamps have arrived!

I love paper, like L-O-V-E.... I might (just might) have boxes of different kinds of paper and envelopes stashed away for the times in life when a personal note is needed. I get it from my mom to tell the truth. I always knew growing up there was a card in the upstairs studio for just about any life event. Let's just say no birthday, anniversary, birth of a child, retirement, or wedding ever went unnoticed in our house! I was lucky, I lived with an artist, a calligrapher (I'll have to take some photos to show off her amazing work) who created beautiful works of art, had impeccable penmanship and who had a passion for the art of the written word.

I might not have developed the interest in calligraphy that I should have at a young age so I could learn the art from a true master, but I did fall in love with any and everything to do with paper. One of my favorite parts of getting a letter  in the mail and sending is what the outside looks like, the stamp in the corner (is it vintage? does it match the theme inside?) and the return address... I might have a stash of return address labels and self inking stamps that could support a small town...  Which is why I am super excited to announce that self-inking stamp designs are now available on our etsy shop!! I hope you enjoy!

introducing mr. barnum

My other little love... Introducing Mr. Barnum! He may be a bit of a scaredy cat but he is the most loveable little boy with a heart of gold! We are so lucky that he needed a home and that our bossy Boston Bailey actually welcomed into hers! These two are full of mischief (he actually dug a hole for her to escape out of... and she did, luckily it was into the neighbors yard!) 

Look for lots of adventures from our little circus... get it... Barnum and Bailey... and Bailey really does know circus tricks!

a little boston love...

Introducing one of the loves of my life, Miss Bailey... a rough and tumble little girl who keeps us on our toes and inspires me to brave. I could have never known when we met you how much joy you would bring us, thanks for being our first baby! Love you to pieces, you are and have always been cute as pie!

We have two amazing Boston Terriers (Miss Bailey above) and Mr Barnum who will be chronicled many times on this journey. Since Bails was our first she gets the first spotlight... plus she's the closest thing to a princess in our house so might as well treat her as such! Look for lots of Boston Love in the coming weeks and months!

Loving springtime and the flowers in bloom! Beautiful shades of pinks is so inspiring and uplifting! Looking forward to all the amazing weddings and gorgeous brides to come this year! Happy Spring Wedding Season!

why so blue?

admittedly I am a fanatic about all things blue... our home is filled with different shades of this calming hue... blue velvet settee, light grayish blue chesterfield, blue duvet... I could go on for ages. Some of my all time favorite pieces are from Horchow (shown above left and right) but alas they are not longer selling these gorgeous items. They may have moved on from blue but I have not and likely never will!

Blue is the color of the ocean and the sky... it is often associated with tranquility and calmness... it is no wonder than that I fill my home with this serene color, who doesn't need a little calming effect in this crazy thing we call life!

evening in paris

ahhh, Paris… in the evening with the twinkling lights of the Tour de Eiffel… it's magical isn't it... in Spring, in Fall, in Summer and in Winter. Let's face it, Paris is enchanting any time of year. So easy to fall in love with, so hard to leave...

I have always loved France (as I am sure many of you have) and have always been inspired by the food, architecture, design and fashion of this beautiful country. 

And so my journey here begins, sharing my love of Paris, of France... of culture and all that inspires me everyday. There will be lots of posts about all things French, and so much more... join me as we start our adventure!
